My World

Summing up self is weird but let's try!

Kritika Srivastava describes herself as an avid reader, non- conformist and writer-ish human.

She along with her exploring spirit moved from her hometown Bokaro steel city to Mumbai. She studied Mass communication & video production in St. Xavier’s college and proceeded to join Gandhi fellowship which has dispensed substantial and assorted experiences to her in an educational setting.

Of all things in the world, she is a paranoid creature who is quite given to writing. She writes because sometimes you just cannot speak your heart out to people even if you want to. She writes because there were frequent power cuts in her locality. She writes because sometimes written words convey you best. She writes because, on hot blazing summer afternoons, she has seen coal vendors barefoot on roads pulling their coal laden cycles. She writes because maybe someday her meanderings would make some sense. She writes simply because she loves to adventure with ink and paper and this ultimately inspires her to explore her world. About my world is the extension of her daily journal.

She remembers clearly it had been the second day of eighth grade, and she had known she absolutely could not stand being shy anymore, couldn’t stand blushing, feeling awkward, being unable to say things. That day she decided to be smart instead of shy.

She enjoys feminist theory, literary criticism, and good coffee.

She strongly believes that at any given moment your whole life could change so she is trying to make most of it and would never give up.
